Fiber Dumortier

Cell³, is a light art installation made of a wooden sculpture, with embedded LEDstrip and video projection mapping. The main shape of the sculpture is a 2.3m tall hexagon. Fix on it, will be 6 "diamonds" that, join together match with the main hexagon shape. The diamonds are built with a smaller hexagon mesh on it. Each
The cells (hexagon) will become an immersive surface to play onto and in between with colors and shapes.
What is not filtered by the first layer of hexagon, gives room for the next one to react and be playful with light. Sometimes working together, or individually.


Color patterns and video shapes are endless, and shows to the audience that there is room for everyone to have and share joy and playfulness, at every scale, size and age.

Artist Bio

Fiber is a French Lighting designer whose passion for visual art has spanned over a decade. Having toured extensively throughout France and Europe with various bands and artists, Fiber has accumulated a robust knowledge base and earned a stellar reputation in the Live music industry. Specializing in immersive and storytelling light shows, he has also delved into experimenting with LEDs, video mapping, and even crafting his own light sources.


Since relocating to New Zealand in 2020, Fiber has discovered a newfound passion for woodworking in stage design, quickly establishing himself in the local electric scene. Combining these fresh skills with his extensive lighting experience, Fiber pushes the boundaries of stage visuals to their fullest extent. His repertoire now includes expertise in VJing, LED strip integrations, laser mapping, and beam shows.
Fiber's focus is on crafting an immersive experience for the audience, where physical structures and digital art seamlessly converse and merge to create a truly captivating spectacle.
