On the last Saturday of the festival, just before the light trail and festival ends, we hold our “Lights on Parade”
Our community night includes:
Light costume and lantern parade - everyone is invited to join or watch as we illuminate the night
Dress up in sparkling lights, create your own lantern, glide on skates, or let the kids hop on their scooters for a lively procession
Roaming street performers & buskers and exciting pop-up shows
After the parade join the mid-winter night market with live music, market stalls and food trucks at Wharaurangi
